Attorneys

John C. Stewart was born in 1947, and grew up in the small town of Lincoln, Illinois. He attended the University of Illinois, earning a B.A. in History in 1969, and a J.D. in law in 1973. Mr. Stewart began his legal career in Illinois that year, but transferred to Denver, Colorado in 1980. For the first fourteen years of his career, he worked as an in-house lawyer for some of the nation's largest corporations. In 1987 John started his law practice, emphasizing bankruptcy and creditors' rights issues, estate, probate, tax, and business law. John is active in the Colorado Bar Association, and has also written and delivered speeches on his legal specialties.  In his spare time, John likes to spend as much time as possible with his family, and is active in his church. He loves history, and is a published author on the subject. John is also an artist, and likes to go hiking or bicycle riding in the mountains every chance he gets.
